Elder Alford's First few days at the Mission Training Center

So this crazy son of mine, waited until late on preparation day to call and did not send an email, because he called. So I am going to have to try to think of some of what he told me.

First, he is loving his time at the MTC! He loves his district and is excited for the work. Oh, he told a story that he had heard in one of his classes. I'm not sure all the details but the gist is that someone was stabbed. The person who was stabbed was not the intended target. Apparently, after he was stabbed he proceeded to explain the gospel of forgiveness to the person who stabbed him. The man got away, but because of the conversation he turned himself in, went to jail and asked the missionaries to come visit him.

He is bringing his big can of Tony's to meals with him. He is not impressed with the food. Some people are recognizing the Tony's and coming up to him.
